WITH THE NEW MANAGMENT AND NEW NAME CAME A LOT OF NEW CHANGE TOO. FIARILLO AND CORSO WERE IN IT FOR THE ALMIGHTY BUCK. THE FIRST CHANGE WAS THE WAY DICIPLIN WAS HANDLED. WAYNE WEEKS WAS A VERY FAIR MAN ABOUT DICIPLINE NOT REALLY BEING THE CASE UNDER THE FIARILLO CORSO DAYS. MANY OF THE OLDER DRIVERS BEGAN DISSAPEARING BECAUSE THEY BELIVED THEIR WAS A CERTAIN AMOUNT OF FAVORITISM BEING SHOWN TO THE DRIVERS FROM THE MEREDITH AREA. I WILL NOT OFFER AN OPINION ON THIS SUBJECT, BUT I WILL SAY IT APPEARED THAT KEEPING THE DOLLAR WAS MORE IMPORTANT THAN SAFETY IN A LOT OF CASES. RICHIE CORSO HAD BIG DREAMS FOR THE TRACK THAT I THINK WOULD HAVE BEEN EXACUTED HAD IT NOT BEEN FOR THE TIGHTNESS IN THE WALLET OF ROBERT FIARILLO.IT SEEMED TO A LOT OF PEOPLE MOST OF THE TRACK WAS BEING RUN BY VOLUNTEERS AND NOTHING WAS REALLY BEING PUT BACK IN TO IMPROVE ON THE FACILITY. THE RACING WAS VERY FAST BUT THE CAR COUNT WAS GETTING LOWER ALL THE TIME AND THE FANBASE WHICH MANY OF THEM WERE LONG TERM FANS BEGAN NOT SHOWING UP AS MUCH. AFTER A COUPLE OF YEARS RICHIE CORSO AND FAMILY DECIDED TO LET FIARILLO RUN THE SHOW HIMSELF. AFTER THEY BOWED OUT FIARILLO RAN THE TRACK FOR THE NEXT FEW YEARS WITH ALL THE VOLUNTEERS HE COULD GET. MANY PEOPLE VOLUNTEERED THEIR TIME TO HELP BUT IT SEEMED LIKE GREED WAS BECOMING TO OVERTAKE THE SITUATION AND FIARILLO WAS FINDING IT HARDER TO FIND HELP AND SPONSORS. STILL THE PINES SPEEDWAY MADE CHAMPIONS OUT OF SOME OF THE YOUNGER DRIVERS THAT WERE AT THE END OF THE NORWAY PINES SPEEDWAY. RAY HEATH JR WAS ONE OF THESE GUYS.
THAT BLUE NUMBER 14 MODIFIED WAS ALWAYS RUNNING UP FRONT AND LIVING UP TO THE HEATH LEGACY.RAY MOSES WAS ANOTHER CAR THAT STOOD OUT FROM THIS ERA THE 4J DUSTY CRITTER WAS A FAST MACHINE, I KNOW CUZ I GOT TO TRY IT ONE NIGHT.

THESE FELLAS COULD RACE.AND LETS NOT FORGET MIKEY HAMILTON AND MIKE KONDRAT THESE GUYS ONLY KNEW WIDE OPEN AND DROVE EVRTHING LIKE IT WAS A SPRINT CAR.WHICH THE ONE THING FIARILLO DID DO WAS BRING THE SPRINT CARS IN TO MAKE THINGS WILDER. WOODY MCLOUD WAS PROBRABLY ONE OF THE FUNNIEST GUYS I EVER HAD THE PRIVLEDGE OF RACING WITH.WOODY ALONG WITH HIS SIDEKICK PHIL RICHARDSON .THESE TWO GUYS WERE LIKE PARKING NEXT TO LAUREL AND HARDY. THEY WOULD PICK ON EACH OTHER AND EVERYONE AROUND THEM.I KNEW THE BOTH OF THEM SINCE I WAS A YOUNG TEENAGER AND, YOU TALK ABOUT MOTORHEADS, THESE TWO GUYS LOVED POWER.WHEN I WAS FOURTEEN I WAS WALKING HOME FROM SCHOOL AND PHIL RICHARDSON CAME ALONG WITH A FLIPNOSE 55 CHEVY WITH A 454 IN AND ASKED ME IF I WANTED A RIDE. WELL I GOTTA TELL YA I GOT A RIDE ALRIGHT BUT HE HAD IT UNDER CONTROL.ONE OTHER LITTLE NOTE I WOULD LIKE TO MENTION ABOUT PHIL.
